EXPO : 3.7 CRORE PASSENGERS USED RTA SERVICE

Dubai: During the expo, 3.7 crore passengers used public transport in Dubai. This is from October 1 to March 31.


So many people traveled by services such as the Dubai Metro, bus, taxi and special services. It accounts for 67% of expo travelers. Figures also show that 11.038 million people used RTA parking. 

Metro, public bus, taxi and e-hail ride (Kareem, Uber) alone were used by 26.3 million people. These facilities were used by 37% of the expo visitors. 8.203 million passengers traveled through the Dubai Metro. During this period, the metro covered 5.717 million km.

15.525 million passengers traveled through the free bus service called Expo Rider. These buses covered a distance of 7.357 million km. There was service from all over the emirate. 

188 buses were deployed for this purpose. These buses also operated from the parking lot to the expo gates. There were 121 buses for this. 2.584 million people traveled by taxi and e-hail service. An average of 4666 taxis operated daily. 29,000 vehicles were parked at various parts of the expo sites. The operation of the parking lot was through a smart facility. Call centers were also set up. More than 30,000 calves arrived at the centers. 1512 cameras were installed in various parts.

The route to the expo city was paved with nine flyovers. 18 stations and bus stops were constructed for buses.
