Kuwait City: According to the Ministry of Interior, 42,529 expats were deported from Kuwait between January 1, 2019 and July 11, 2021, costing the State Treasury 2.1 million dinars (the cost of their travel tickets).

Sponsors of deported expatriates will be held responsible for the cost of deportation and will be tracked until the debt is paid in full. In response to a question about the issuance of an administrative decision to deport a Jordanian following his statement to the media about the Ministry of Health's decisions on the issue of 'Corona,' the Ministry of the Interior reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring freedom of opinion in accordance with Article 36 of the Constitution, which states that "every person has the right to express and publish his opinion."
