Swiss authorities said they confiscated 500kg of cocaine from a cargo of coffee bound for a Nespresso factory.

Workers at the Romont facility notified police after discovering white powder in sacks of coffee beans. More of the narcotic was later discovered in five cargo containers, according to police. An early inquiry revealed that the package originated in Brazil.

According to a statement from Nespresso, the plant's manufacturing of coffee capsules was not tainted by the drug.
