TWO PEOPLE ARE BEING HELD IN MANHUNT FOR AXE ASSAILANTS WHO KILLED THREE ISRAELIS

Police in Israel have arrested two Palestinians suspected of killing three Israelis with an axe and a knife on Thursday. Following the incident in the predominantly ultra-Orthodox Jewish town of Elad, a huge manhunt was initiated.

The attackers hit a park and a popular roadway where families had congregated to celebrate Independence Day. It was the latest in a string of deadly Palestinian or Israeli Arab attacks in Israel since late March.

The attack also injured seven other people, two of whom were critically injured. The suspects were discovered in a thicket near Elad. According to Israeli authorities, they came from the Jenin region in the northern West Bank.
