KUWAIT MUNCIPAL COUNCIL ANNOUNCES RESULTS OF LOCAL ELECTIONS

Kuwait City: The 13th Kuwait Municipal Council has announced the results of the local elections. Hasan Kamal won the first constituency with 2,755 votes. Abdullah al-Mehri won in the second constituency, Fahad al - Abdul Jader in the third constituency, Saud al - Kanderi in the fourth constituency, Nasser al - Jadan in the fifth constituency, Fuhaid al - Muwaisi in the sixth constituency, Abdullah al - Ensei in the eighth constituency, and Nasser al - Kafeef in the ninth constituency. 


Earlier, Khalid al-Mutairi was elected unopposed in the seventh constituency and Nasser al-Azmi in the 10th constituency. Elections were held at polling stations in eight constituencies in 76 schools and ended at 8 pm. The government will appoint six members to the 16-seat municipal council. The term of the council is 4 years.
