WORLD BICYCLE DAY, RALLY ORGANISED BY INDIAN EMBASSY

Kuwait City: A bicycle rally was organized at the Indian Embassy on the occasion of World Cycle Day. The event was organized as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to celebrate the 75th anniversary of independence. Ambassador Sibi George inaugurated the cycle rally which started from the embassy premises. The rally started with a wreath laying ceremony for the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi.


He said the cycle rally was organized as part of efforts to create awareness about the various measures that India has taken to protect the environment. The rally was attended by more than 50 cyclists. 

The event, which is being held ahead of the Indian Environment Week from June 5 to 9, 2022, will in the coming days feature quizzes on tree gardens, herbs, painting and drawing competitions and a closing ceremony on June 9 at the Embassy Auditorium.
