Kuwait City: While the Ministry of Education organised committees to combat student cheating during exams and punish those caught in the act by barring them from answering the rest of the exams and assigning a zero score in all subjects, the sale of 'headphones' that aid in cheating has saturated the market. These devices are tough to obtain on the black market portal, but they are widely available on websites and smart apps. The arrest of 600 students detected cheating during the first two days of high school students taking exams at the end of the academic year, including 250 cases in Islamic education, stemmed from the first two days of high school students entering exams at the end of the academic year.

The headset is priced between 45 and 65 dinars, but it was previously available for as little as 25 dinars, and as the exams approached, the price nearly quadrupled or even tripled. According to sources, some students taking advantage of the exam season have even offered to sell their previously used headphones for between 20 and 35 dinars. Cheating devices include "T-shirt, bank card, necklace, ear built-in magnetic headset," all of which have sophisticated technologies and long-range communication capacity. In this context, the Kuwaiti National Integrity Society has warned of the spread of fraud, calling on the Ministry of Commerce to issue a decision banning the sale and purchase of equipment used in fraud, including headphones and technological devices in local markets.
