EMERGENCY AID TO AFGHANISTAN FROM UAE

Abu Dhabi:  The UAE's emergency aid to southeastern Afghanistan, which was hit by an earthquake last day. The plane was carrying 30 tons of emergency food items from the UAE to Afghanistan. The move follows a directive from President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to provide relief to people affected by the quake. 


Officials said the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation and the Emirates Red Crescent were working in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation to implement the leadership's directives. The joint relief effort between the Emirati Humanitarian Institutions underscores the UAE's commitment to humanitarian concerns with neighboring and friendly countries.
