SECONDARY SCHOOL INSTRUCTORS HAVE BEEN GRANTED TRAVEL PASSES, OFFICIALS ARE SHORT IN SUPPLY

Kuwait City: Secondary school instructors obtained their travel permits towards the end of the school day last Thursday, resulting in a shortage of correctors and observers for the second round of exams, which will begin on July 17 for 10th and 11th grade students. According to the source, the Examinations and Student Affairs units in the educational districts issued a circular to secondary schools requesting observers and correctors for the second round of exams for the 2021/2022 academic year.

The source said the units urged those willing to serve as observers and correctors to personally register at the Examinations and Student Affairs Unit in their respective educational districts. In some secondary schools, about 300 students will take the Mathematics exams; but no Mathematics teacher is available as everyone refused to take the assignment due to their travel reservations, the source disclosed. The source found it surprising that the districts delayed the issuance of the budget for teachers who will work as observers and correctors for the second round of exams for certain classes, stressing this is not the case for the 12th Grade exams.
