ZUBAIDI FISHING SEASONS BEGINS IN KUWAIT

Kuwait City: Dhaher Al-Suwayan, the head of the Kuwaiti Fishermen's Union, declared that the fishing season for Zubaidi fish in Kuwaiti territorial waters will begin on Saturday, following the end of the fishing ban period.


The decision to prohibit seasonal fishing aims to maintain and develop the fish resource while also providing the opportunity and time for Zubaidi fish breeding. the necessity of complying to fishing rules in order to preserve and protect fisheries from extinction, calling for a review of fish sector support to ensure food security and the sustainability of fish resources as a strong pillar of the national economy
