SOMALIA PLANE CRASH : PLANE FLIPS OVER AT MOGADISHU AIRPORT

A jet crashed and flipped over as it approached the airport in Somalia's capital, but none of the 36 people on board were killed. Thick black smoke rises above the crash site in dramatic footage filmed near Mogadishu's airport. Firefighters extinguished the flames, and photographs taken at the scene show the plane, a Fokker 50, upside down. It belonged to Jubba Airways and was a domestic flight from Baidoa to the capital. According to airport officials, who were mentioned by state media, all passengers and crew were saved. The cause of the crash is still unknown. 

In a brief statement, acknowledging the incident, Jubba Airways said that it would release more information about what happened "as it becomes available".
