NAVY SHIP INS TEG OFF THE COAST OF KUWAIT

Kuwait City: The Indian Embassy gave a grand welcome to the naval ship INS Teg which arrived in Kuwait. INS Teg was received in the presence of Kuwait Naval Commander Brigadier General Hazza Al Alati. Sibi George said that the Navy is proud to receive the ship even as the country celebrates its 750th independence anniversary as Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and celebrates the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with Kuwait.


He said that the important visit of INS Teg is a reflection of the growing bilateral partnership between India and Kuwait in all fields, especially in the field of defense cooperation. India and Kuwait have a very traditional and dynamic relationship. Over the years this engagement has continued with various stakeholders including government agencies, business firms, industry groups, universities, science and technology institutes, academicians, scholars, students, advanced research institutes and mainly our Indian society.

The relationship between India and Kuwait has become stronger even during the crisis of the Covid pandemic. The ship has been deployed for a number of missions including ending piracy activities in the Gulf of Aden. and provides maritime security in the region. Sibi George added that the visit of INS Teg to Kuwait signifies the Indian Navy's commitment to establishing cooperative partnerships with friendly nations.
