Kuwait City: The Farwaniya Municipality's Engineering Audit and Follow-up Department announced that power was cut off to eight properties in the Omariya area in violation of Ministerial Resolution No. 57/2019, in coordination and cooperation with the Judicial Enforcement Team at the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy, and with security support from the Ministry of Interior.

The power was turned off, and Eng. Saeed Al-Azmi, the director of the Engineering Audit and Follow-up Department, issued a warning and required the owners of two bachelor properties to sign a pledge to vacate them in cooperation with the relevant authorities. He emphasised that the supervisory team in the Engineering Audit and Follow-up Department was responding to complaints from Al-Omariya residents who claimed that bachelors were residing in several model residences.

To stop the phenomenon of singles residing in private and model housing areas from spreading, Eng Khaled Al-Osaimi stated that field tours are still being conducted to monitor all violating properties, take legal action, and cut off power supply in collaboration with the relevant authorities. He also urged real estate owners to work with the Municipal supervisory teams and the relevant authorities during their field tours to avoid being held legally responsible.
