HUGE LIQUOR HUNT IN KUWAIT, 23,000 BOTTLES OF FOREIGN LIQUOR WORTH 1.5 MILLION KUWAITI DINARS SEIZED

Kuwait City: 23,000 bottles of foreign liquor worth 1.5 million Kuwaiti dinars have been seized, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior said. Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Acting Minister of Interior Sheikh Talal Khalid Al Ahmed Al Sabah, Minister of Commerce and Industry and Minister of Social Development Fahd Mutalaq Al-Sharian in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry. Under the supervision of Interior Lieutenant General Anwar Abdullatif Al Barjas and General Administration of Customs Director General Sulaiman Al Fahd, 23,000 bottles of alcohol arrived at Shuwaikh port through a container. The seized liquor is estimated to have a market value of about one and a half million Kuwaiti dinars. 


The minister appreciated the General Administration of Customs for its continuous cooperation and intensive follow-up by officials of the Ministry of Home Affairs to control smuggling efforts into the country through air, land or sea ports.

Major General Hamid Al Dawas, Assistant Undersecretary for Criminal Security Affairs at the Ministry of Interior, General Department of Relations and Security Media Director General, Major General Tawhid Al-Kandari, General Director General, Drug Control Department, Brigadier Mohammad Kabazard participated in the site inspection.
