NEW PALNS TO REDUCE EXPATRIATES IN KUWAIT NEXT YEAR, WORK PERMITS ARE NOT RENEWED FOR MANY JOBS

Kuwait City: The Civil Service Commission is preparing new plans to reduce the number of expatriates in the country by next year. The plan is to eliminate many non-essential jobs.


According to a local daily report, the plans are aimed at three phases. Initially, the Civil Service Commission will join forces with the Home Ministry to immediately deport all violators. In the second phase, CSC will stop the renewal of all work permits for non-essential jobs. The third step would be to issue work permits only for professional jobs required in the market subject to professional tests.
