40 DEATHS PER YEAR IN KUWAIT DUE TO BACTERIAL PNEUMONIA, VACCINATION CAMPAIGN STARTED

Kuwait City:  Jahra Health District Director Dr. Mohammed Owaida Al-Ajmi launched an awareness campaign for winter vaccination and immediately set up a center for auditors and health workers to receive vaccinations. Head of Public Health Department of Jahra Health Region Dr. Firaz Al Shammari said.


The main goal of vaccination is to reduce symptoms. In particular, seasonal influenza vaccination is given to at-risk people and those with chronic diseases. Bacterial pneumonia affects millions of people every year. There are 40 deaths per year in Kuwait due to this disease. He added that it will seriously affect those who are at risk.
