INFLUENZA IS ON THE RISE IN UAE, NO MASK, LESS HAND WASHING

Abu Dhabi:  As winter approaches, the flu (influenza-flu) is on the rise in the UAE. In the past 2 years flu has been low due to strong covid immunity. But this time the fever is spreading. The flu is spreading again when the mask is avoided and hand washing is reduced. 


People with diabetes, asthma, lung diseases, heart disease, pregnant women, and people over 65 and under 5 years of age are at higher risk. High fever, cough, body ache, sneezing, body ache, stuffy nose and vomiting are affecting the people. More patients arrive at primary health centers and clinics.

Doctors said that people with fever should wear masks and keep distance from others to prevent the spread of the disease. People with the disease are warned to avoid going to school or other crowded places.
