NORTH KOREAN LEADER KIM MAKES A RARE APPEARANCE WITH HIS DAUGHTER

Kim Jong-un, the leader of North Korea, made his first public appearance with his young daughter, confirming long-circulating rumours that she existed.

He was joined by the girl, who is thought to be named Kim Chu-ae, at a Friday inspection of a significant intercontinental ballistic missile launch.

During the test, which was criticised by the US, the couple stood hand in hand.

Very little is known about Mr. Kim's personal life because he runs one of the most secretive governments in the world.

The two can be seen in several images released by North Korea's official news agency, KCNA, holding hands while conversing, meeting with officials, looking over missiles, and watching the launch from a viewing platform.
