Residents of Kuwait will get Umrah e-visa

Kuwait City, Jan 21: According to the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs' announcement, residents of Kuwait will be able to get Umrah visas electronically by enrolling their biometric data, Al-Qabas daily reported.

The launch of the new app as promised by the Saudi government late last year allows the pilgrims to register their biometrics through mobile phones so that they can avoid visiting visa centers in person. This makes the nation one of the first in the world to receive biometrics through mobile devices for visa issuance.
