Sri Lankan Embassy celebrates 75 years of Independence

Kuwait City, Feb 11: The Sri Lankan Embassy in Kuwait held a grand celebration at the Regency Hotel in Kuwait to mark the 75th anniversary of the nation's independence, on Wednesday. The event's chief guest was Amani Sulaiman Bugamaz, minister of Public Works, Electricity, and Water. The celebration was formally launched by the minister and Sri Lankan Ambassador-designate Kaandeepan Balasubramaniam by cutting the ceremonial cake.

The show, which reflected the nation's multi-ethnic, multi-religious, and multilingual society, was presented by the renowned Rasika and Nisha Cultural troupe, Colombo. The celebration was attended by several ambassadors, Kuwaiti dignitaries, Sri Lankan nationals, and special invitees.
