Philippines-Kuwait joint committee will discuss labour crisis

Kuwait City, Feb 16: The joint committee between the Philippines and Kuwait will meet soon after Manila requested a date for the meeting. The committee will discuss all outstanding issues between the two countries, especially the domestic worker file, suggesting that an agreement will be reached to resolve the labour crisis before Ramadan and then resume sending Filipino workers after setting the required controls and procedures.

The sources expressed optimism about the results of the meeting of the Assistant Secretary of State for Asian Affairs and Philippine Chargé d'Affairs Jose Almodovar Cabrera III, stressing the depth of relations between the Philippines and Kuwait.
