Kuwait City, March 28: The Ministry of Interior has rejected the online applications for renewal of residency permits of 5,000 expatriates who left Kuwait for more than six months due to sickness, family situations and economic hardship.
Several other expats will also lose their iqamas this month for similar reasons.

The ministry, through the department of residency affairs, automatically revokes the residency of any expat who has been away from Kuwait for a duration of six months. The time frame of their absence from the nation will be computed from August 1, 2022 to January 31, 2023.
