Ministry of Health: Avoid traveling to Guinea and Tanzania

Kuwait City, April 2: After reporting Marburg hemorrhagic fever outbreaks in Equatorial Guinea and United Tanzania, the Ministry of Health advised travelers to stay away from these nations until the illness was under control.The Ministry of Health recommended that the Kuwaitis who are in the two countries and neighboring countries need to follow the preventive measures issued by the local health authorities to reduce the risk of infection transmission. 

The ministry is currently following up continuously with regional and international authorities on the latest developments in the health situation there. Marburg virus disease, which was first detected in 1967, has an incubation period of between two and 21 days, and the death rate due to it is 88 percent.
