22 labor recruitment offices seized for violation

Kuwait City: The Public Authority for Manpower, launched an inspection campaign on domestic labor recruitment offices in the governorates of Hawalli, Farwaniya, and Al-Ahmadi, led by its commissioned general manager, commissioned deputy director general of the labor force protection sector, and director of the Department of Domestic Labor Recruitment. 

The authority said in a press statement that the campaign resulted in the arrest of 22 labor recruitment offices, and the detention of the workers. Thirteen workers who were transferred to the center for sheltering expatriate workers of the Public Authority for Manpower until their legal status is settled or procedures for their departure from the country are taken in coordination with the employers.
