Kuwaitis spend more than 4 billion dinars for travel

Kuwait City: Kuwaiti spending on travel during the year 2022 witnessed a huge jump by 69.5%, bringing their total spending to more than 4 billion dinars, compared to spending amounting to 2.36 billion dinars, according to the preliminary data of Kuwait’s balance of payments for the past year issued by the Central Bank of Kuwait. This large boom in spending comes after Kuwait Airport was fully opened to travelers.

The Central data showed that remittances of expatriates abroad during the past year amounted to 5.4 billion dinars, declining by about 2.17% compared to their level during 2021, which is 5.5 billion dinars.
