About 36,000 individuals underwent biometric scan in a week

Kuwait City: Within a week of the implementation of biometric system at all border points, about 36,000 individuals, both citizens and residents, underwent the biometric scan. Currently, those entering the country through border crossings, including citizens, GCC nationals, and expatriates, have their fingerprints taken. The scanning excludes anyone under the age of 21. The biometric scan is solely a security initiative that serves the needs of the resident and the citizen.
