Italy: In response to the catastrophic flooding that killed at least 15 people in northeastern Italy this week, environmental activists dyed one of Rome's most iconic landmarks black. The well-known Trevi Fountain was turned black today by protesters from the Italian counterpart of the UK group Just Stop Oil, who claimed that this week's floods in their homeland were "a warning" of the effects that global warming is having on the planet.
