Swedish government condemns desecration of Quran

Sweden has condemned the recent event in which a man burned the Quran in front of Stockholm's main mosque and called it "Islamophobic." These actions, according to the Swedish foreign ministry, did not represent the views of the Swedish government. The declaration followed an appeal for coordinated action by the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to stop future occurrences of this kind.
