2,695 expats arrested for violating residency law, 534 criminals arrested

The statistics issued by the Public Security Sector between September 1, 2022 and May 30, 2023, through 22,212 checkpoints for the security directorates of the capital, Hawalli, Al-Ahmadi, Al-Jahra, Al-Farwaniya, Mubarak Al-Kabeer governorates, and secret missions revealed that 534 criminals were arrested and 2,695 expatriates were arrested in violation of the residency law. They were referred to the Department Administrative removal.

Most of the violators were caught in Farwaniya Governorate, with a total of 878 violators, while 580 violators were caught in the Capital Governorate, and the rest were caught in other governorates. The number of drug and alcohol cases reached to 2506.
