Domestic help crisis to deteriorate in Kuwait

Due to the fact that most countries have stopped sending people to work as domestic workers in Kuwait, the current crisis in this industry, both in general and in terms of women's jobs, is affecting all the labor recruitment agencies right now. Specialist in Domestic Labor Affairs Bassam Al Shammari talked about the benefits of Kuwait's labor laws.

These benefits include three separate provisions – 1 month paid holiday after 11 year of service; 1 month's salary per annum of service at the end of service; and double wages of domestic employees for additional hours worked beyond normal working hours. He urged the authorities to find solutions quickly in the midst of the current challenges facing the domestic labor market.
