3,695 divorce cases between Kuwaitis in 8 months

Recent statistics issued by the Ministry of Justice revealed that 3,695 documented cases of divorce occurred between Kuwaiti couples during the period from January 1 to August 31 of last year.

The statistics showed that among the divorce cases recorded in the same period there were 262 cases of wives who were divorced before consummation, and that the number of cases of khul’ divorce during the same period amounted to 243 cases, and divorces by court ruling for a Kuwaiti husband amounted to 589.
