30 Indians arrested in Kuwait for lack of requisite documents

Thirty Indian citizens, including nineteen Malayali nurses, were detained in Kuwait following a security assessment at a private medical facility. The detention was initiated after it was established that the individuals did not have the requisite documents. The individuals were subsequently transferred to a deporting centre.

Relatives of the people who were arrested said that the real issue was a disagreement between the hospital owner and the sponsor.The families have reached out to External Affairs Minister V Muraliadharan, the Indian Embassy to get them released.
