The Ministry of Interior has recently released Ministerial Resolution No. 26/2024 with the objective of offering a solution for expatriates who have violated residency regulations prior to 2020 to correct their status by paying fines. This decision has been made following the cancellation of Resolution No. 288/2020, which previously required the deportation of expatriates without a valid residence permit. It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Interior imposes fines up to 600 dinars for the most severe violations.
