Kuwait is last in the Gulf in the food security index

The latest version of the Food Security Index issued by the Economic Research Unit of the British “Economist” group showed that Kuwait fell 20 places, according to the 2022 classification, as it ranked 50th globally out of 113 countries, while it ranked seventh in the Arab world and sixth in the Gulf, according to what Reported by the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development.


Kuwait ranked thirtieth globally in this index for the year 2021, obtaining a score of 72.2 out of 100, while the value of the scores obtained by Kuwait in the 2022 index decreased to 65.2 out of 100.
