Sources within the Ministry of Interior and the Public Authority for Manpower said that instructions have been given to cease the issuance of work permits for Egyptian workers starting from yesterday. The decision to suspend work permits for Egyptian workers comes as a result of numerous complaints filed by employers. These complaints claim that certain Egyptian authorities have been exerting pressure on them to obtain insurance for each employee from a non-Kuwaiti insurance company. These actions have raised apprehensions about the transparency and impartiality of the recruitment procedure.
