3.7 million Lyrica pills confiscated in a drug bust

The Ministry of Interior has made significant progress in the fight against drug trafficking and safeguarding society from its harmful consequences. During a recent operation, the Criminal Security Sector, through the General Administration for Combating Narcotics, apprehended six individuals, consisting of five men and one woman, who were trying to smuggle around one million capsules of the controlled substance Lyrica into the country via Kuwait International Airport. Among the arrested individuals were two employees of the General Administration of Customs, all of whom were caught with the illegal capsules valued at approximately two million Kuwaiti dinars in the illicit market. The confiscated items and the detained suspects have been handed over to the appropriate authorities for further legal proceedings.
