Head of the Center for Women's Studies and Research at the College of Social Sciences at Kuwait University, Dr. Lubna Al-Qadi, said that the percentage of female citizens working in Kuwait is the highest in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, reaching 57.9% last year 2023.
This came in Al-Qadi’s participation in a working paper in a discussion panel entitled “Migration to the Gulf... Possible future scenarios... A vision from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and countries of origin” organized by the Gulf Research Center at the University of Cambridge on Thursday as part of the activities of the 14th Annual Gulf Research Forum. Al-Qadi stressed that well-educated women constitute a valuable resource for a sustainable economy.
