The Ministry of Interior confirmed that all transactions for Kuwaiti citizens and residents in government agencies will be halted if the biometric fingerprint is not taken, noting that the last deadline for taking the fingerprint for citizens is September 30, and for residents is December 31. The security information officer at the Ministry of Interior, Major Shaheen Al-Gharib, said that the ministry extended the deadline some time ago in order to allow those who have not taken a fingerprint to do so. Al-Gharib added in an interview on the Kuwaiti Eshraqa program on Al-Akhbar channel that more than 2.5 million people, including citizens, Gulf nationals and residents, have taken the biometric fingerprint so far.
