A campaign carried out by men from the Capital Security Directorate resulted in the issuance of 711 traffic tickets, the arrest of five criminally wanted persons, and 29 expatriates whose residency permits had expired and who were absent from their sponsors.
The campaign was launched under instructions from the Assistant Undersecretary for the Public Security Sector, Major General Hamad Al-Munaifi, and the General Director of Capital Security, Brigadier General Suleiman Al-Jarrah, during which a number of foot patrols were distributed in some areas of the capital and fixed security points were placed in other locations.
