The Ministry of Interior announced the death of a wanted individual during an arrest operation following an exchange of gunfire.
In a statement, the Ministry of Interior said: “After intensive efforts and thorough monitoring, officers from the General Department of Criminal Investigations managed to locate the wanted individual. During the arrest operation, the individual initiated gunfire against security personnel, prompting a response in accordance with legal procedures.” The wanted individual was injured during the exchange of gunfire and was transported to the hospital for treatment. However, he succumbed to his injuries. The weapon used by the individual has been seized.”
