The Public Authority for Manpower has launched an awareness campaign to reinforce key labor regulations, emphasizing that worker salaries must be transferred to their bank accounts no later than the seventh day after the due date. Employers failing to comply may face legal consequences under the Labor Law. The initiative aims to protect workers' rights and ensure financial stability for employees across various sectors.
In addition to wage regulations, the Authority has set stringent guidelines for worker accommodations. Employers must provide a first aid room with a qualified nurse in housing facilities with over 200 workers. The use of worker housing for purposes other than accommodation is strictly prohibited, and any food storage must comply with health and safety standards. Companies are also required to maintain proper living conditions, ensuring essential facilities and regular maintenance to uphold safety and hygiene standards.
