In a significant operation led by the Ministry of Interior's Criminal Security Sector - General Department for Combating Narcotics, field teams conducted simultaneous security campaigns across several areas, targeting narcotic smugglers and dealers. The operation resulted in the arrest of 30 individuals, including 14 citizens, 5 stateless persons, 7 Bangladeshis, 2 Indians, and one suspect each from Saudi Arabia and Iran.
The seized narcotics and psychotropic substances included:• 9.823 kg of hashish• 7.966 kg of Shabu• 7.557 kg of marijuana• 2.950 kg of chemical materials• 1.082 kg of heroin• 5 grams of cocaine• 10 grams of Lyrica powder• 6,710 Lyrica capsules• 974 psychotropic pills
Additionally, authorities seized an imported bottle of “Red Label” alcohol, two firearms, a quantity of live ammunition, 25 sensitive scales, and empty packaging bags ready for distribution.
The suspects and seized items have been handed over to the Drugs and Alcohol Prosecution Office for further legal action. The General Department of Drug Control affirmed its commitment to continuing these security efforts to protect society from the harmful effects of narcotics and ensure public safety.
