Kuwait: In its main session held on Monday under the chairmanship of Abdullah Al-Mahri, the Municipal Council approved the transfer of the allocation of workers’ cities to the Public Institution for Housing Care and the Ministry of Finance.
Two major sites were designated for the benefit of the housing sector: a workers’ city in Subiya covering 2.4 million square meters and another in South Jahra with an area of one million square meters.
Additionally, three sites were allocated to the Ministry of Finance for developing workers’ cities: one in North Mutlaa, one in the south of Sabah Al-Ahmad Residential City, and one in the south of Khiran Residential City. Each of these sites spans an area of 2.4 million square meters.
The Council also approved the Ministry of Justice’s request to allocate a site for the construction of a building for the Experts Affairs Department in Mubarak Al Abdullah area, Hawalli Governorate.
Furthermore, the Council ratified all decisions made during its February 23 meeting, following the approval of Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Housing Affairs, Abdullatif Al-Mishari.
