Two New Private Jet Companies Approved in Kuwait Amid Rising Demand

Kuwait: Two new private jet companies are set to launch in Kuwait after obtaining approval from the General Directorate of Civil Aviation to offer non-scheduled air transport services. The Ministry of Commerce is currently reviewing their applications to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

One of the companies, "High Class," will cater exclusively to luxury and VIP travelers, while the other will target business owners and high-net-worth individuals seeking more affordable private jet options. Both firms aim to serve individuals and companies, offering customized flight experiences.

Sources reveal that one investor has already met most licensing requirements and has aircraft ready for operation, pending final approval from the Ministry of Commerce. The second company is in the later stages of the approval process, with its license expected soon.

This development marks the first time in five years that licenses for private air transport have been issued in Kuwait, signaling a revival of the private aviation sector. The companies are expected to be launched as public shareholding entities, possibly with public and government investment involvement.

The new companies will provide chartered flights tailored to clients’ destinations, including landings at private airports. Prices for private jet charters are expected to start around $1,000 per hour, potentially rising to $25,000 or more depending on the aircraft type and services offered.

This initiative aligns with the increasing demand for private travel among businessmen in Kuwait and reflects broader global trends. The business jet market is projected to grow from $42.14 billion in 2022 to $62.66 billion by 2030, with the Middle East and North Africa, especially the UAE, playing a significant role.
