Fahd Al-Yousef Leads Major Crackdown in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh: "No More Chaos"

Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh is no longer a haven for disorder, as acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef led a sweeping field campaign in cooperation with multiple government agencies to restore law and order to the area. The large-scale effort focused on curbing illegal commercial activities, unlicensed restaurants, and serious health violations inside residential properties.

Over five days, authorities identified 40 violating properties and issued 89 citations for unauthorized commercial use. Power was immediately cut off to 34 homes found to have severe violations, particularly those operating as makeshift restaurants with hazardous storage and hygiene conditions.

In total, 147 individuals were arrested, including one suspect wanted for theft, 29 absconders, and 117 violators of residency and labor laws. All have been referred to the relevant authorities for legal action.

Sources emphasized that Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh will no longer exist outside the bounds of public order and that any citizen allowing their property to be misused will be held legally accountable. The crackdown revealed homes turned into unlicensed food factories, posing severe health risks such as food poisoning.

The campaign underlines the government's zero-tolerance policy toward violations, with officials warning that silence or inaction would only exacerbate public health and safety issues.

Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef stressed the importance of inter-agency coordination, with every government sector working together in an integrated framework. This joint effort marks the beginning of a long-term strategy to bring Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh fully under the rule of law and public order, with more campaigns planned as part of a comprehensive government response.
