Kuwait City: The Kuwait Municipality has announced that electricity was cut off to five bachelor-occupied properties in the areas of Rumaithiya, Salwa, and Salmiya. This action was part of field inspections carried out by the Engineering Audit and Follow-up Department in the Hawalli Governorate.
According to the Municipality’s Public Relations Department, these inspections are being conducted according to a planned timetable and in coordination with government bodies including the Ministry of Electricity and the Ministry of Interior.
Authorities urged residents to cooperate with the Municipality by reporting bachelors living in residential zones, which is prohibited under Kuwaiti law. Reports can be submitted via the hotline 139, WhatsApp at 24727732, or through a written complaint addressed to the governorate’s municipality director.
The Municipality reiterated its commitment to taking regulatory action to uphold housing laws and ensure proper community standards in residential neighborhoods.
