NBTC Group has disbursed Group Life Insurance claims totaling KD 618,240 (approximately INR 17.31 crore) to the families of 49 employees who lost their lives in the Mangaf Fire Accident. A solemn ceremony was held at the NBTC Corporate Office, attended by embassy officials, Lulu Exchange Group representatives, NBTC management, and employees.

Group Managing Director Mr. K. G. Abraham personally handed over the payouts to the legal heirs, emphasizing that while no compensation can replace a lost life, the organization acted swiftly and transparently to ensure timely support. The insurance payout, equivalent to 48 months’ salary, was provided under NBTC’s voluntary employee welfare scheme, which covers all its staff across Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.

Mr. Abraham also announced that the NBTC management would visit India to meet the families and extend further assistance. Notably, the Group Life Insurance policy, though not mandatory by law, is part of NBTC’s ongoing commitment to employee welfare, providing coverage in cases of natural death, accidental death, and injuries.

The event also saw the presence of Legal Consultant Mr. Nader Al-Awadhi and senior NBTC representatives including Mr. Hamad N. M Al Baddah, Mr. Ibraheem M. Al Baddah, and Mr. Abdullah Alkhulaifi, General Manager of GIG Bahrain, who paid tribute to the deceased and praised NBTC’s dedication to its workforce.
