The Ministry of Interior, through the Criminal Security Sector, announced that the General Department for Drug Control successfully arrested an Indian national suspected of drug trafficking following a security operation. The arrest took place in the Salwa area after thorough field investigations and continuous surveillance of the suspect’s movements.
Authorities seized approximately 8 kilograms of heroin and 2 kilograms of shabu, along with two sensitive scales used for preparing and distributing narcotic substances.
During interrogation, the suspect admitted that he received instructions from partners abroad to promote and distribute these narcotics within the country. The accused and the confiscated items have been referred to the Narcotics Prosecution Office to proceed with legal actions.
The Ministry of Interior reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining security by confronting anyone who threatens public safety through narcotics distribution. It also urged the public to cooperate by reporting any suspicious activities through official channels.
