Kuwait International Airport is gearing up for a busy Eid Al-Adha holiday season, with an expected 236,000 passengers scheduled to depart and arrive on 1,737 flights. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) made the announcement in a press release, stating that the airport will also begin welcoming the first batch of returning pilgrims from the Holy Land on June 9.
The most popular destinations during the holiday include Dubai, Cairo, Jeddah, Doha, and Istanbul — reflecting the surge in travel demand to these cities. With this spike in passenger volume, authorities are emphasizing the importance of arriving at the airport well ahead of departure times and ensuring all travel documents are in order.
Travelers are advised to carry valid passports, confirmed flight and hotel bookings, and entry visas where required. The DGCA stressed that thorough preparation will help avoid delays and ensure a smooth airport experience.
To accommodate the influx of travelers, the DGCA has coordinated with all airport entities to enhance operations and provide efficient, quality services throughout the holiday period.
