Kuwait: On Sunday, June 8, 2025, a bomb threat was reported on Gulf Air flight GF213 en route to Kuwait. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) confirmed that the situation was handled with immediate effect, in close coordination with the Ministry of Interior and relevant security agencies.
The aircraft landed safely at Kuwait International Airport, where pre-established emergency protocols were enacted. All passengers were evacuated and transferred to an isolated lounge, where officials confirmed they are in good health and have not been harmed.
Abdullah Al Rajhi, spokesperson for the DGCA, emphasized that the safety of passengers, crew, and airport operations remains the top priority. Comprehensive security checks were conducted to ensure that the aircraft posed no further threat.
The bomb threat did not disrupt scheduled flights at Kuwait International Airport. Authorities have detained the individual responsible for the false report and are taking appropriate security actions against them.
